School Site Council

What is School Site Council?

The School Site Council is a team comprised of administrators, teachers, classified employees, and parents who review budgets, as they relate to programs and other initiatives at Sinnott.  Issues are discussed and recommendations made accordingly with a focus on supporting our students based on data, such as the California Assessment of Student Performance (CAASP) and iReady reports.

The board consists of a chair, vice chair, and secretary.  In addition, a District-level English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) representative is a member of the team.  The group has a representative who attends the Community Board Advisory Council (CBAC) meetings, which are structured to share what the individual schools within the Milpitas Unified School District are doing and bring that information back to Sinnott’s board to consider best practices
