ATTENDANCE & ABSENCES
Please contact the school office if your student is going to be absent. Contacting your students teacher is not enough. Please call the front office 408-635-2674 ext. 1907 or email Ms. Adriana Quinonez with a detailed reason for the absence.
In California, all children are required by law to attend school between the ages of 6 and 18, and must have good attendance records as well. The state defines legally truant as a student who misses school with a combination of the following types of absences without a valid excuse:
three unexcused absences and/or
three tardies and/or
three absences of more than 30 minutes
You'll need to contact school office within two days of your child's return to school or the absences will be recorded as unexcused.
When attending a medical or dental appointment during the school day, please bring a note from the doctor to the attendance office.
After 3 consecutive days of illness a doctor's note will be required.
