The safety of our students and staff is our absolute priority. We have reached a point where we must make a significant change to our morning and afternoon routines to ensure everyone stays out of harm's way.

Starting next week, the parking lot by the Multi-Use (MUR) room will be strictly closed to all non-staff vehicles.

Why is this change necessary?

Recently, we have observed several unsafe behaviors in this lot that put our community at risk. Because this lot has only one outlet, congestion becomes a major safety hazard. Specifically, we have seen:

• Hazardous Maneuvers: Double and triple parking that blocks traffic and emergency access.
• Unsafe Speeds: Vehicles driving extremely fast into the lot while students are nearby.
• Gridlock: With only one way in and out, the current congestion makes it impossible to maintain a safe environment.

We know that morning drop-off can be stressful, but we must prioritize safety over convenience.

• Arrive Early: Please plan your commute to arrive at Sinnott earlier than usual. This will help you avoid the last-minute rush and find appropriate parking in designated areas.
• Respect the "Staff Only" Zone: This lot is reserved for staff members who need to be on campus to greet your children.
• Slow Down: Please remain vigilant and keep your speed low in all areas surrounding the school

Effective Date: Monday of next week.
